Since the 58 numberplates didn't start until months after this film was released, KM58RZO doesn't appear on the DVLA database. |

Even if it did, it'll be a phony plate. Film makers will never use a real plate, due to protection of privacy etc. Anyway, this model of the Sprinter isn't produced anymore, definately can't purchase a new version anymore. Its a 2003 - 2006 model. |

You should think so, but indeed a lot of -I would say the most- cars in British movies have their real plates. We had it discussed sometimes. -- Last edit: 2009-02-26 20:17:51 |

Most of the cars used in this film have kept their real plates, which is good for us because we can look up the plates on the DVLA database and the other vehicle check sites (which take their info from the DVLA) and find out the exact year, engine size and trim level. I'm not quite sure what the big deal about hiding registration numbers is (when some people post pictures of their cars on the internet, they cover up the plate number with photoshopping), I can understand when it's an expensive or rare car with a personalised plate, but can ordinary people find out where someone lives by knowing their plate number? |

There were problems with drivers 'cloning' number plates. If you know of a similar car with the same colour you can use a false number plate for speed camera recognition and congestion charge avoidance. A fairly common dodge. |
