Colour Code 99, Medium Blue (SWE: Mellanblå) available 1969+. Therefore I'd say this is a 1969-70 Volvo 145 S. Link to "barnfinds.com" https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1970-volvo-145/ -- Last edit: 2026-09-28 23:22:01 |

Yes it could indeed be so, but I don't know how to find out. |

Will this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_Halifax_Assembly help? |

The Halifax assembly plant (CKD) didn't make all cars for the U.S./CDN market. Take the year 1969 as an example: I haven't been able to find out exactly how many cars Volvo did sell on the Canadian market, but did sell some 36.000 in USA. However, the Halifax plant didn't produce more than some 8.000, which means that perhaps one in five or one in seven came from Canada. Is it more likely that cars sold in Canada were assembled in Canada? Yes, probably, but how do we know for a specific car? I don't. Can you find out? |

They are listed with Halifax assembled per https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_140_Series (SV: https://sv.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volvo_140 ) ![]() |

Those pages are really not much help as they only list places where CKD occurred, not how many they produced at any given site. Not to mention how many of each model, nor any specific features present on a model assembled in, lets say Halifax. That is apart from a small plate INSIDE the engine bay. Do you have any other information apart from the very obvious? |
