Not a good angle or enough information for a proper ID. I'm not sure if it's elongated or stretched (SWE: Förlängd), but apart from that it's possible to write a few words. In short the 740 had a four cylinder inline four cylinder engine developed by Volvo themselves, and the 760 had a six cylinder V-shaped engine developed together with Peugeot and Renault (PRV). (Apart from the 760 Turbo which had an I4 engine and the Diesel versions which had an I6 engine originally developed by Volkswagen for their LT.) The 760 was thus a more expensive model than the 740, but that also depended on the optional extras. The GL usually had a carburettor and the GLE had a fuel injection (Bosch CI), but all versions became fuel injected when they got catalysts (usually Bosch LH 2.2). It seems like it has a chromed grille and the 1984+ door mirrors. Only two models had that feature; the 1982-87 760 and the 1988-89 740 GLE. The latter was an upgrade to the 740 GLE when the 760 got a different front end. Apart from that the 760 also had alloys and painted door mirrors. Those models mentioned also had painted lower half of the bumpers and s/s on the door protections and door handles, but non of that is possible to see from this direction. Conclusion: It's either a 1984-87 Volvo 760 GLE or a 1988-89 740 GLE, unless someone has changed the grille... -- Last edit: 2026-08-29 17:38:35 |

John Paul II. Now, this was a REAL pope. Leo XIV is not a real pope (neither was Francis), but a fake pope, a woke pope, the puppet of Soros. How I miss John Paul II! |

I drank it for years, until the taste changed. Now, it tastes like lemon Pepsi, even if it's not lemon Pepsi. So I changed to Coke. -- Last edit: 2026-08-29 18:44:12 |
