I think they are Vulcan 6PF model. This was latterly produced at the Tilling Stevens factory in Maidstone, the last ones being built in 1953. The 6PF had a Perkins engine; there was also a 6VF that had a Vulcan engine.

Vulcan 6PF buses might have started about 1949 using slightly tweaked lorry chassis - from a book reference, but no further info.
