We seem to be a bit confused on the naming of these: /vehicles_make-Land-Rover_model-Defender+110+TUL+HS.html /vehicles_make-Land-Rover_model-Defender+110+XD+TUM+%27Wolf%27.html /vehicles_make-Land-Rover_model-Defender+110+XD+%27Wolf%27.html Wiki says: Which suggests that "TUL" at least is incorrect as that relates to the 90 version. |

^ My usually infallible Landie bible doesn't mention TUL or TUM in several sections on 90s military spec Landies and specific Wolf paragraphs; what does come over is the wide variety of military Landie versions, both for UK and from a 1978 list over 108 other countries. So a blizzard of designations would have existed - some built by L-R themselves, others contracted out to specialist suppliers for extra bits. L-R presumably managed all these contracts on behalf of MoD to ensure only nice countries got them. |
