This can indeed be a [W 111], but because of one reason only: the shiny aluminium ABOVE the side windows. But if so, it can only be a 1963+ (placing of the outside rear view mirror and the shape of the rear light) Mercedes-Benz 220 b. Other [W 111] models had a double rear bumper and shiny aluminium on top of the rear wing. But it's more to it than that. It has shiny aluminium around the wheel arches which was standard fittings on the [W 112] models AND was also sold as optional extra together with other shiny bits. That raises a question: Is this a 220 b [W 111] or a pimped up [W 110]? I don't know. |
