Maybe 1003 but I'm not sure 1973 GMC T8H-5307A CPTDB wrote At the beginning of 1973, GM produced an order of 100 New Look buses for about $4 million ($44,511-$44,527 per unit) for the RTD, with delivery commencing in March to April 1973 and entered revenue service in a span of 4 months upon arrival. 1090-1099 were the first to feature PA systems in the fleet. The entire series originally had rollsigns alongside the 1960s RTD mustard paint scheme; however, when they got repainted to the 1980 tri-stripe livery, a chemical stripper was used instead of the typical sanding and priming process, which melted the rubber and adhesives keeping the fluids away leading to severe corrosion. Select units from this series alongside the existing fleet received the updated 1989 two-stripe RTD livery with anti-vandalism coating, but the proprietary screws used by General Motors were switched out with the common sheet metal designs, which were less reliable than the originals and more prone to falling out, causing the interior to rattle while in motion. The first units were taken out upon arrival of the 1992 TMC RTS-06 Methanol buses, 1200-1502; the last 10 buses were removed in late June 1993. Portions of this series were first known to be sold at auction in October 1992; another batch of 59 buses were sold 6 months later, though the exact units in that auction are unclear but it may have included some retired 1981 GMC RTS-04 buses.The final 15 were sold at auction in September 1993, which included the 1973 Flxible New Looks, 1974 GM New Looks, and some of the 1981 GMC RTS-04 buses.
