1986-89 appearance with chromed surroundings on the grille. However, it has 'black chrome' around the windows which primarily was available on the GLT and Turbo variants. But those had a completely different grille. Bearing in mind those facts I believe it's a GL with 'black chrome' which was available as 'Black Line' during the MY 1988. It was a pack of optional extras. Until proven otherwise I believe this is a 1988 Volvo 740 GL 'Black Line' [745]. |

Lambdasond emblem would make it a 1989 (1988B in Sweden). |
