^ We've got some confusion in our collection - a mountain of MkVI and a handful of MkVIII - overlapping date ranges, and they all look the same. And there are no MkVII. |

What is termed the Mk7 (VII) launched in June 2006. This is not a Mk6 (VI), it is a Mk8 (VIII). |

Back in the mists of time when dinosaurs walked the earth and I was a nipper in short trousers who'd never heard of imcdb, the early pioneers took a decision to deviate from the mark numbering on wiki and use our own system. When I joined, I started coming across these historic comments but they're long buried now. I'm OK with old Transit numbering but modern ones are a foreign country, so I just follow what we've got, which pulls up 2016s as Mk.Vi. As said above, there is some confusion in what we have. If we want internal consistency the Mk.VIIIs should be looked at. Or maybe the MkVIs need attention topull out any aliens. And the absence of any listed as Mk.VII is an eyebrow raiser. |

dsl, I am not sure that the "Mk" identifier is official Ford anyway? Just about all from mid-2006 to late 2013 would be commonly referred to as a Mk7. |
