Nothing definitely Vitesse-ish. Probably mid-late 60s 1200. |

I'm with electra225, and I tell you my reasoning: A Herald 1200 or 12/50 would have a heavy chrome headlamp bezel visible from the side, and the chrome bonnet 'flash' finishes at the headlamp rim on these two models, rather than meeting a corner piece of chrome trim. A Herald 13/60 or Vitesse would have a chrome 'flash' which met up to a corner piece of chrome trim, but the identifier would be this: looking from the side, the chrome of the 13/60 headlamp bezel should be visible, whereas on the Vitesse, the headlamp bezel was painted body colour. I see no chrome? |

I suppose really it should remain "Unknown"? |

Well argued - Vitesse accepted. Fairly sure this deeper gloss red was 66-ish so Vitesse 6/2-Litre Mk1 crossover period. 2-Litre should have small silver plaque on front wing side, but not all of themhad one for whatever reason - instead this one has a smudge which looks more like a Union Jack plaque, possibly a badge for F or other export. |

The deeper red was Cherry, as oppose to Signal. No sign of MK2 Rostyle trims found on the later cars. |
