Mercedes-Benz Otomarsan was a joint venture in Davutpaşa, Istanbul, Turkey, established in 1967 where Mercedes made 36% of the capital investment. The manufacturing of buses started in 1968. Also trucks were made in Turkey, but from 1986 at their Aksaray trucks manufacturing plant. Cars were only imported but was handled through the Davutpasa plant. Also trucks were handled through the Davutpasa plant until the Aksaray plant was established. https://www.osd.org.tr/osd-members/mercedesbenz-turk The above bus is most likely built at the Davutpasa plant between 1968 and the filming date which probably took place in 1971. No. The movie was shown to the public in 1972 and must have been filmed some time before that. Mercedes-Benz Türk was established in 1990 and could not have built buses as early as 1972.
