I can assure you that in 1971, scooters were a head turner in the US. The possibilities cannot be very big. Vespas were sold by Sears in the 1950s, and then later by Cushman (under Sears’ Allstate brand) until 1963, when Vescony Inc was established as the official importer of Vespas to the US.
