Still crazy to me that they actually sold Soviet tractors in the US during the cold war...I suppose the farmers were happy with it being a no-nonsense workhorse you could wear down and buy again year after year for no money at all.

Sales in Canada started in 1973, and in the US in June 1974, very fittingly in New Orleans!

Made for USA since all Soviet tractors, whether they came from Lipetsk, Vladimir, Minsk or Kharkiv - were badged as 'Belarus' for export.
