On it its called "E A 489" opposed to "EA489". Dont know if that means anything.

Here's a clearer picture of that brochure/owner's manual. It's strange that the Wikipedia page shows a totally different vehicle and description, because the brochure and pics from the Instagram page show what looks like a variation of a Typ 2, which were Rear-engine and rear-drive. I'll leave the ID to some of our VW experts.

Looking into it, I found this:

"Granted, Turkey did try to inject a bit more glitz by using the front of a bay window Type 2 as a cab."

I guess this explains this Turkish version.

They were based on the Hormiga (the Mexican panel truck) so they used Beetle chassises.
