At the moment, it is 1971/73. |

It's not a 1971 model. 1971 Mustangs had MUSTANG spelled out across the width of the trunk: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=6152&c=65 In 1972, "Mustang" was moved to the right and written in a script style: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=19304&c=66 And that carried over into 1973: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=6318&c=67 The easiest way to tell a 1972 from a 1973 is the placement of the front turn signals. Got a shot of the front of the car? 1972 Standard Grille: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=6147&c=66 1972 Mach 1/Deluxe Grille: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=6270&c=66 1973 Standard Grille: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=6339&c=67 1973 Deluxe/Mach 1 Grille: http://forums.bradbarnett.net/gallery/showimage.php?i=6326&c=67 |

Seems like I remember this being a 1973 model from seeing the movie. |

This was my moms car! The people from the movie wanted the type of car she had! So the dealer reached out to her to see if they could use it! Not sure of what year it was though, Mom passed but I can always ask my Dad! |

This is definitely a 1972 model as it has no over-riders on the rear bumpers which the '73 cars do (new impact regulations introduced for '73) but it has the "Mustang" script on the bootlid which the '71 does not as per the earlier comment. |
