That dashboard close-up shows an error in the movie - in the story, Karen and Bill take Margo out for a long weekend in the country, and are returning when they run out of gas. They mention having used the car at various times over the weekend. But when you see the odometer in the above still, it only registers 00023. This Mercury was probably a new car the studio bought and cut up for the interior shots. |
