a crash like that wont kill you |

How do you know for sure? People have been killed in freak car accidents where there was minimal damage to the vehicle. Of course you would be less likely to die in this type of crash, it is staged by the special effects department for TV ... ![]() |

It'll kill you if you're not wearing your seatbelt, like most Americans prefer not to do. |

It looks like a basically stock Eclipse GS, just like you'd find for $3000 on any used car lot across the nation, but with a godawful "tunaboy" wing thrown onto the back. And I'd expect, with you being American yourself, you'd know all about that, wouldn't you? Oh, wait a minute... ![]() I don't know of any place in the U.S. where seatbelts are not mandated by law. -- Last edit: 2009-04-19 06:31:26 |

Seat belts are required in all new cars by federal law, but seat belt use is required by law in only 49 states. The exception is New Hampshire, which has no seat belt law at all. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seat_belt_legislation_in_the_United_States -- Last edit: 2009-04-19 06:52:14 |

Ah, that figures. New Hampshire is a pretty laid back state...it's also the only state where a citizen with no criminal record can carry a concealed firearm without a special permit. I'd move there if it weren't in the rust belt. ![]() -- Last edit: 2009-04-19 07:00:59 |

at first its a 97-99 eclipse but den they changed it to a 95 |

You're right. I'd never noticed that they substituted an older model for the actual crash, but looking at the captures the front bumper is different. |

From the pictures I take it that the car unrealisticly rolled like an SUV? |
◊ 2009-07-27 03:38 |
Yes Choocv, the car unrealistically rolled. It's the standard "if we can get a vehicle airborne we will do that" stunt that we all have enjoyed in tv/movies forever. ![]() |
