This is supposed to be the same Chevy seen here in a previous shot (/vehicle_23166-AMC-Javelin-1973.html), and in the Donner Cut (/vehicle_665267-Chevrolet-Chevelle-Malibu-1973.html) as backed up by the fact the same cab driver appears to be driving said taxi. However this stunt double with a broken front after running into Clark is a 1974 Malibu at earliest since there's a noticeable gap where the rubber filling lining on the bumper unlike the 1973's:

It could be 1975 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Classic due to bright trim surrounding door windows frame

Kudos to you rjluna2! Only defaulted to the 74's since I couldn't tell the difference without the grille piece, going off the brochure shouldn't this be listed as a 1975 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu then? :p

The only thing it could also be a mongrel due to the age of the vehicle here  This scene supposedly set in England, and it could be as early as 1974 model year. But, then again with these hubcaps could back up its evidence of the sourced of this specimen

As I indicated at the brochure, this vehicle could have the trim removed and repainted for this. The only thing that they sometimes don't work at the B-pillar here.

Does the bonnet belong to the car?? If so, where does the extra crumpled portion come from?? Or is it witchcraft using a spare scrap bonnet from something else??

Huh, never noticed that before LOL. Rewatching both the original theatrical cut and the Donner cut, I was wrong about this being a 1973, I assumed the same car was the one on the right in this scene, but it's actually the same one on the left since the hood is popped open and damaged like in this scene:

So I'm going to assume rjluna2's theory that this 75' Malibu or a mongrel between the 74' is correct, since it appears they bought two of them for the making of this movie, a 1973 Malibu Taxi in alright condition and a potential 75' Malibu stunt double done up to look damaged to fit the scene. The only question now is is it a 75' considering the evidence rjluna2 provided, or some mongrel hybrid between the 74' and 75'

Looks like a piece of same color scrap metal sheet about 2x3 feet is placed on top of the bonnet

The one on the left is the subject vehicle and the one on the right is the 1973 version.
