fortengo ◊ 2008-09-16 11:48	As far as I know, Ford introduced the name ’Turnier’ with the 17M P3, earlier Taunus wagons were called simply Kombi. The’Weltkugel’ Taunus was launched in 1952 indeed, but the Kombi version appeared only a year later.
Ingo ◊ 2008-09-16 19:18	I have a book from the 50ies, where a young girl drove in 1955 with such a 12 Kombi across Africa, form Ethiopia to Cape Town. In 1959 she was getting more popular, after she drove with a VW Bus to India.
