Perhaps a Mercedes Knight https://mvcoldtimerticker.de/mbmc-mercedes-knight-16-45-ps-1920/ ? https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Knight Note: These cars were all made before the merger between Daimler (with their brand name Mercedes) and Benz. -- Last edit: 2024-07-14 21:42:41 |

With this length of the chassis and speed, I believe it has a bigger engine. I cannot see any exhaust pipes from the hood/bonnet which might or might not exclude the Model K. At least it's rather unlikely as it was introduced in 1928. Instead it is not impossible to be a 1924-25 Mercedes 24/100/140 or a 1926-29 Mercedes-Benz 24/100/140. Here's a clearer pic: Full size here. While the pic is dated 1929 on above site, the car, the driver (Ralph Forbes), and the airport setting match this movie which was filmed in late 1930. |
