I think they're referring more to the way the lane curves before the actual turn lane (where the arrow is at). In many other cases, the dividing yellow line goes straight and curves when the turn lane comes in, not BEFORE the turn lane comes in. |

I think that's just the road itself curving, and the angle of the shot makes it look a bit weird. |

The road isn't curving. I've seen this very same layout on many streets here in So Cal. |

Ah, I see. They probably did that so that people don't just go in to the turn lane if they are driving in the left lane already, so you have to make a speacial effort to get into it and the rest of traffic is directed through the right lane. -- Last edit: 2008-09-06 01:34:27 |
