This is not the best picture for a proper identification. However:

- It doesn't seems to have a "Volvo Turbo 6" sign in the grille https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Volvo_F89-38_4x2_Truck_1973.jpg . Then rather 88 than 89.

- The front axle seems to be in a normal position. Then F rather than G.

- I can only see one rear axle on the tractor. Then F rather than FB.

Conclusion: I'd say this is a Volvo F88.

But wasn't the wider grille exclusive to the F89 ?

As the truck passes by the camera, its visible the truck has 3 axles.

If so it's a FB rather than F.

Not necessarily.
The cab is rather small which made it difficult to mount the larger TD 120 engine for the F89. I'm not sure if that was because of the engine itself or if it was because of the gear linkage, I've read more than one version of the story, but it proved an impossibility to convert it to right hand drive.
Hence the F88 model was retained after the introduction of the F89, at least on right hand driven markets, and because of that the F88 also got the visible changes of the F89. However I don't know if those changes occurred immediately or after a while.
And I also don't know if those changes took place only on right hand driven markets or worldwide.

What I do know is that this is a late version of the 8-range, manufactured only a few years before the introduction of the F10/F12 -range.

I remember it now, it was the F88-290 made for RHD markets.
