Very minor scene of a silver/gray 635csi. One of the main characters uses this car as a temporary replacement of his red 930 Porsche 911 Cabrio (which get's drenched with water and fish guts, thanks to Julia Roberts). If you watch this scene, you'll notice how this character regrets having to drive this BMW. Julia Roberts is not too impressed with his "down-grade to a BMW". Oh, please! What a pity to drive a 6-series as a temporary loaner car. It makes me mad when I see this scene. Obviously that's the point. Your supposed to laugh at it, and realize what a spoiled, rich person this character is. |

"That's what you're driving these days?" "Well it smells a hell of alot better than a Porsche." |

Thanks for the picture - check out the classic CT plates. What a snot! (Julia Roberts) "That's what your driving these days!" As if the car is a total POS, and nobody would be caught dead driving it. Yeah, he's really slumming now. You might as well end it all, if you have to go from a 911 to a 635csi. Life's so harsh sometimes, isn't it? -- Last edit: 2007-02-16 21:38:33 |

think you're remembering it harsher than it was...she said it more smart-assy. and he laughed as he replied. i still can't believe he wasn't pissed when she dumped the stuff in his porsche, i would have been. |

Well, perhaps. Opinions vary. It is a bit of a joke to drive a BMW 635csi (one of the most expensive BMW's in the 80's) as a loaner/rental car. Ha! She should have said something like, "Gee, I never knew you could rent a BMW 635csi from Hertz". The viewers assume he is borrwoing it from one of his wealthy friends or realtives. He was pissed when she dumped the stuff on his Porsche! Well, he may not have smacked her, or pressed charges, but he appeared upset. What do you think he should have done? |
