Ford Ten (1938 7W) or Prefect (1939+ E93A) - impossible to tell for sure from this angle. |

BTW, Jean-Marc, I can identify the other three ... but Antoine wouldn't want me to encourage you ![]() |

The E93A had an upright radiator with an alligator bonnet, the 7W had a sloping grille with a bonnet that hinged upwards from the centre. The profile of the car in this picture resembles more closely the E93A. The other three are, like the Ford, mundane grey porridge of the type that abounded in 1952. |

I'll allow that Morris Eight Series Is and Austin A40 Devons were pretty common (Dorsets less so, it's difficult to say which this is) but we don't have too many 1934 Ford Tens (CX) on the site (there, I got them out anyway!) ![]() |

You got two out of three. The car behind the Austin may be a Ford, but C, or CX, it is not. They both had suicide doors. |

Oh. Yes, you're right ... I thought it had wire wheels. Ford Eight (7Y), then? ![]() |

I would agree that a 7Y is the most likely. The car looks a bit high at the back, but it is facing downhill, or could have had a new back spring. |
