Brand New, worth list anyway since it's quite rare. |

The main pic is an ad (copyrighted 1978 by Champion Home Builders Co.) in a magazine read by the conductor, a major character played by Ben Johnson, who is involved in a mild argument with his engine driver who believes "one of these days" he and his train will be on the cover of "Time" magazine. "And I'll be up in the Concorde, and you'll be on welfare," responds the conductor who seems to have a thing for motorhomes, but is possibly referring to the airplane rather than a Champion Concord motorhome (I don't think 'up' refers to him being up and about in it). The driver retorts: "What's the price of gas right now? Pretty soon, the only way you'll get that beer can someplace..." At this point the camera shows the conductor turning his head to look at his magazine and then cuts to the ad for the Champion motorhome in it, obviously the 'beer can' in question, for about two seconds, while the drivers concludes, "...is you load it on a flatcar. Guess who'll be driving the train?" He starts to leave as the conductor says, "You can cook, you can take a shower, you can watch TV, and, by God, you can hang a left if you feel like it." Which sounds like he's talking about the motorhome. Meanwhile, a bonus motorhome from the conductor's desk: -> -- Last edit: 2024-01-17 19:25:55 |

^ 1977 Fleury Motorhome, too bad the picture is too small. You won't see something like that in a million years. |
