Obviously quite an early one and looks to be British bodied. I think 1912 was the first year of British Ts.

If UK assembly at Trafford Park did not start until 1911 and at Cork until 1919, this is a USA-made car??

This is from the Ford Heritage Fleet, it made a brief appearance in Wheeler Dealers.

Not made for Ireland! The Irish Free State didn't exist until 1922.

"This car is owned by Ford in the UK. It was found in Ireland (hence IZ which was used for cars in County Mayo in the west of what is now the Irish Republic), and there are stories that the British Army used it, fitted with a machine gun during the uprisings. It was restored in the 1950s by George Simpson of Edinburgh who used it to take part in most of the early events of the Model T Ford Register of Great Britain. I think it now has the correct 'fenders'. See here. Ford brought it to Fort William for the Centenary celebration of the 1911 ascent of Ben Nevis. " - from here.

Seems IZ 105 was one of a few Ts which set off in 2011 and got a bit of the way to show willing, but then stopped before anything serious. Meanwhile a replica T was driven up about halfway till it got stuck, then taken apart with all the bits carried to the top in bags and reassembled on the summit for photos etc. Then taken apart again and carried back down, according to this very unimpressed account. And there's now a bronze T statue in Fort William.

Excellent footage of the 1911 ascent by S 1871.

1985 Autocar Road Test of IZ 105

Seems to be the oldest surviving Irish-registered car with a well-known backstory about its Irish roots, so denying it a made-for-IRL seems over-cautious.
