Certain kaiju films on the site have toy tanks listed.

Hard-to-ID models are no stranger either.

seems a recurring theme

didn't japanese studios have access to real tanks or what??? or just were too greedy to pay the army to lend them a day or two for filming

in germany we had productions where real tanks were used including stunts like crashing cars

looks like the Mitsubishi did wished it was a toy.. :D

probably low-budget movie so they went for a 1.99 $ toy and someone's backyard rather than i don't know how many $$$ to rent a real one for the day and getting it shipped to some selected location..

The argument for inclusion is the filmmaker's intention that we should think of it as a real vehicle.
It doesn't matter whether it's a good model, we don't rate the quality of VW or Ford, either.
It's different if a child plays with the tank in the film, then it belongs in the comments.
Another thing, I believe as a model maker, is that the Japanese love to recreate reality as realistically as possible, it is more of an art than the lack of production possibilities.
