The Taurus was born from the Ford DN5 Program. I know we have a lot of Taurus fans so I let them decide if they want to use it. |

Actually, the 1995+ models have actual chassis code designations ranging from P52 to P59 depending on the trim level and body style (similar to the Crown Victoria's P70, P71, P72, etc... ![]() I'll have to check my book to see what the codes for the older models are ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-08-11 23:31:03 |

DN5 was its program name, not its chassis. But you could use either one I guess. This "Farewell To The Taurus" article also uses it (for 1986-1994) http://www.automobear.com/FarewellToTheTaurus.html |

By the right side of the dash it appears 1986-1989. It doesn't look like a 1990-1991 style. However' it might have the face-lifted tail lamps making this a 1989. If that fellow would ever move we could possibly narrow further. ![]() |
