Not a Norton 650, this has visible pushrod tubes. Possibly an ES2 but I'm dubious about that. |

TAS 149 ✓ SORN Vehicle make NORTON Date of first registration March 1962 Year of manufacture 1962 Cylinder capacity 647 cc Export marker No Vehicle colour BLACK Wheelplan 2 WHEEL Date of last V5C (logbook) issued 31 May 2019 IDing bikes beyond my paygrade, but legally this is a Norton. However TAS series not a period issue but a more modern DVLA-retro plate, and these sometimes float from tree to tree more than period-genuine plates. If the Heartbeat crew of jolly jokers had wanted to plant a fake on this Whatever-It-Is, they would have had to use bike plates to get square rear and knife-edge on front mudguard, not just pluck a random number from their toybox. |
