Heckflosse version here. Could this be made for Sweden due to mandatory mudflap here? |

Yes this is indeed made for Sweden. Much more "Made for" than most countries. Apart from the mudflaps there is, just, visible one of the mandatory extra reflexes on LH side below the rear bumper to increase visibility. Also fitted is a bigger alternator and possibly, this I'm not too sure about, a bigger heater matrix. When this was new Gunnar V. Philipson was in charge of the sales and imports of Mercedes-Benz in Sweden. After the war he was offered to be the head of Mercedes-Benz in Germany. He declined, but was in the border for a while. One of his decisions was the estate version built by IMA in Belgium on the W110 and W111. |

This is not a 1966 200 W110. That version had a different rear end without the double bumper. It is either a 1959-65 220 Sb or 220 SEb, or a 1966-67 230S. |
