filmed in California
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043547/locations?ref_=tt_dt_dt

has japanese markings and seen the movie this was supposed to be a captured japanese air strip so perhaps wanting to play a captured japanese roller , this could be a FAKE just a prop

It almost reminds me of Fred Flintstone's car.

It's probably not a real Japanese roller which would weigh like 7 tons and be impractical to ship to California. The question is is it an American roller or is it some parts making a prop.

If you want to do a World War 2 movie, Objective, Burma! (1945) has some kind of tractor in it, maybe a Case armored tractor.

I think it's a prop , couldn't find a single roller which looks anything close to it and saw the movie it never moved, just parked in background

that's why should go to comments section due to serious doubts being real

The sun visor on Mike's authentic Japanese 'Midway' roller looks like a textile bank reject.

Something real with a fake shell built around it. I think the front roller and the structure around it are the only 'real' parts we can see.
