That's a welded hull, so either an M4A2 or M4A4. |

Could be an M4 or an M4A3 too. Not an M4A4, because the hull is too short, and the US Army never used them. They all went to Lend/Lease. You can only tell the difference between an M4, M4A2, and M4A3 by looking at the engine deck. Direct vision slots mean an early hull. I'd guess it's an M4. |

It's early production, so if it is M4, more probable is Alco, than Chrysler... |
