The 740 was discontinued in 1992 so if 1997-98 this has instead to be a 940.
Concerning the MY's the rear lights might indeed point towards 1997-98, but they proved very popular and many who had earlier MY's changed them. However because of the early filming date I might just accept that.

Oh yes right. My bad. Then it's an 1997-98 940.

After editing the picture in Paint.net, and making it brighter, i can make it out that the bumpers are all painted in the same colour as the car, which would indicate a 1995 + 960 or 1997 + V90

@carking:
When first looking at the picture I assumed it was painted in 'Classic Red' (Code 601), but at a second glance it could also be painted in 'Garnet Red' (Code 428).
If you're sure about the bumpers, I see no problem to go with a late 960/V90 especially as they had those white indicators all the time.

Edit:
I forgot to mention that 'Classic Red' (Code 601) is a solid colour and is usually found on lower spec cars like the 940, while 'Garnet Red' (Code 428) is a Metallic and usually found on higher spec cars like the 960. Black is possibly the only exception.
