Could the tires have been replaced? |

I doubt that tires get replaced after only three years? |

You must be joking, when I was working I did about 25,000 miles a year, say two years, and I would have replaced both front tyres twice, and have had a new set of three for the two back wheels and the spare. My last firms car was a 2000 Golf 2 litre tdi estate, and I generally had Continental tyres. My current Mercédès has done 13,500 miles and has already had three tyres, but one was wrecked by a nail. -- Last edit: 2023-01-22 21:15:45 |

I commute about 16000 km per year but I generally change the car before I need to change the tires. |

20 years ago , there was in a cars for sale magazine ( not sure how we can call these ) a 1998 Oldsmobile Intrigue that already reached 200,000 kms in a little bit more than 3 years ( said to be highway milleage ) |

AutoTrader? I can remember picking those up when we'd go to the grocery store as a kid. They had TruckTrader and Old Car Trader too. I think they might have had one that was specifically for construction and farm equipment as well. They were like $1.00 a magazine. |
