Looks like a Riley RM 1946 to 1955, but exactly which model within this group is not easy to tell. Suggest that it is either an RMA 11/2 litre or an RMB 21/2 litre because of the large sidelamps apparently on top of the mudguards. We can eliminate the RMC and the RMD which both had opening tops, and the RME because the car has no rear wheel spats. It might be an RMF 21/2 litre 1952 to 1953. -- Last edit: 2008-05-19 17:58:18 |

The Riley is a real riddle, gonna have to plow through some books for that, the red car obviously is an Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto (Coda Ronda) |

The thumb looks like a big rear window which was 52+ RME or RMF. jfs ^^ eliminated RME as no rear wheel spats (although see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Riley_Saloon_1953.jpg ), so how about RMF?? RMB/RMF 2½-Litre had 7" longer wheelbase than RMA/RME 1½-Litre but difficult to tell here. For info wiki gives production figures as: RMA - 10,504 1945-52 RMB - 6,900 1946-52 RME - 3,446 1952-55 RMF - 1,050 (so if this is RMF it's the rarest saloon) 1952-53. Also for the record RMC - 507 (2-door convertible version of RMB, cutaway doors, folding single pane windscreen, no quarterlights) 1948-51 RMD - 502 (2-door drophead coupé version of RMB, straight doors, fixed split windscreen and frame, quarterlights) 1949-51. |
