Not a Leyland National: /vehicle_81999-Leyland-National-Mk-1-LN19-1979.html Anyway, the previous capture for this bus showed a South African road sign, so I think this is a South African bus, probably near-impossible to identify exactly. According to Citsa, there are eighty different coachbuilders in the country. ![]() /vehicle_33448-unknown.html |

We never knew who built it. it started off in life as a Roodepoort municipal bus. Add a V8 and some mods to do a full handbrake turn... FUN!!! |

I found MAN buses from Pretoria with a similar front cowl: http://www.sa-transport.co.za/buses_and_coaches/gauteng/gtng.html The body is closer to various Mercedes-Benz buses from Pretoria: http://www.sa-transport.co.za/buses_and_coaches/gauteng/gtng2.html Would it be possible to narrow down the manufacturer using the dashboard or steering wheel? |

Hardly. Looks like that there was older and newer wheels http://s174.photobucket.com/user/MrBean_07/media/3531-221024x768.jpg.html http://s174.photobucket.com/user/MrBean_07/media/3533-081024x768.jpg.html |

The Imageshack link doesn't work for me. Imageshack intercepts the direct link, plays two videos and then never shows me the photo. |

That's a Mercedes O 305, same as this one in the link: https://sa-transport.co.za/buses_and_coaches/gauteng/m-b_574_pta_2_rg.JPG It's like the german VÖV Bodystyle only with "square" wheelarches instead of the "round" ones. |
