Third generation, but I wouldn't put this one anytime before the 1980's. |

It has the blue Ford oval, so it's anywhere between a 1983-1991. |

Are there extra indicators under the taillights? |

1983-1988 to be more specific by the cutout & position of the license plate. Yes they do appear to extra indicators. I believe this was made for a certain market as opposed to being exported after the fact. Edit: Filmed in Norway, Dennmark, & Sweden. ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2019-05-20 22:04:58 |

In Norway all US cars had to suffer this conversion, red direction indicators at the rear was a no-no. You often see these extra indicator lamps on a bracket, below the bumper, or as here, with a (side marker?) lamp adjacent to the original cluster. When amber bulbs were available the reversing lamp could be converted to indicators. BTW, any area showing red or amber light sideways, were painted over, and in any case the side markers had to be removed and replaced with a cover, to make the US car street legal in Norway. AFAIK all these coversions were made by the dealer (or rather, the Norwegian importer, although there was some grey import as well), the US factory wouldn't destroy the appearance of their vehicles like this example shows |

This is what an early version of the next gen would look like - the side marker is covered with a piece of plastic, the same at the rear, repeater added |
