Ford T, Centerdoor Sedan by the oval rear windscreen. As this is not an "all black" yet, it would have to be a 1915 or 1916. Unable to find this exact scale model. EDIT: it appears to be a "Highway Pioneers" 1915 Centerdoor by Gowland from the early fifties, circa 1951. Perhaps JFS has memories of this company and/or toy. https://www.maronline.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/9-Gowland_web.jpg Link to "i2.wp.com" -- Last edit: 2022-10-04 20:20:45 |

Unfortunately no recollection of that company. What money my brother and I had to spare went on the Hornby Dublo model railway. |

Please note that as this is an American car in an American film I have departed from my normal British spelling. |

I don't know why Bray7 said this show was American and took place in America (okay, maybe except for that Clearwater part) - it's British. -- Last edit: 2022-10-04 21:20:08 |

I can see why you say that. The series WAS filmed in Britain, Shepperton Studios specifically. But there's several American flags in the series, and even an episode named and based around an American holiday. There are several other details such as the sun rising over the ocean and setting over land. Which is just how the sun rises in the Northeastern U.S. But I digress. ![]() |

I was going to say you may have watched a US dub (a common feature on many British series) but the American flag is a tough argument. |

^ So I shall refrain from changing it to “Centredoor” then. |

Well it's up to you I suppose. Here's another shot of it before it's blown up. A yellow/brown one is also seen in the same episode. -- Last edit: 2024-01-03 17:44:50 |
