I guess anything is possible but registered six years after end of UK production and the Austin/Morris FF truck was not normally associated with a bus chassis? From its appearance I would have assumed the driver's seating position would be noticeably higher for the FF but its only based on this view therefore I cannot be certain. Replaced by the FJ in 1964 the last production of UK FF or FH K100 (5-ton) or K140 (7-tonn) trucks (or FF only with the vertical engine being earlier in 1962). Either originally miss-identified or an unusual application but its probably the best identification from what is available. |

An earlier bus which was built on an Austin FF K100 truck cab/chassis. /vehicle_673688-Austin-FF-1959.html Another bus which was possibly based on the Austin FF K100 truck chassis. /vehicle.php?id=580612 If the 1970 registration is accurate either Hong Kong continued to build the FF or it could be the Austin FG K100 5-ton chassis which replaced the lighter FF, FH and FJ 5-ton trucks. |
