Well I don't bring an answer, another way to help you find out what car this is. In Brazil it was produced by Chrysler as dodge 1800/dodge polara. When Chrysler do Brasil was sold to Volkswagen this car was sold in Argentina as Dodge 1500/Dodge 1800. In Europe it was sold by a subsidiary of Chrysler as Hillman Avenger, in the USA it was sold as Plymouth Cricket. This car is from that "family", which model unfortunately I don't know. Argentine Dodge 1500. Early ones had chrome over-riders, black rubber was about 1974+. Over-riders were moved further apart and slightly bigger rear lights in 1978 when front was facelifted. In 1982 it became Volkswagen 1500, after VW bought the factory and gave it another facelift, creating the only VW ever designed in Coventry. Brazil versions were different - 2 door only, never a 4 door. |
