It seems to have all the chrome trim together with swan neck mirror on door like early 300 SE had while 220 SE with extra trim had mirror in forward position more likely. https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Mercedes_Benz_W111_220SE_Front.jpg But what about the wheels ? Are they 1968+ in original car color? They should be retrofitted than. Another detail could be a hint. We only have one W112 with tose rare overriders. Here a 300SE without all the chrome, but same wheels and overriders. Link to "www.favcars.com" 2419 Coupés W112.021 / 28.918 Coupés W111 = 1/12 |

Chromed wheel arches together with the side strip makes this likely a 300 SE/C, but those details could have been retrofitted as well. However that is not my main concern. If I understand this correctly, the film is shot in Canada and the U.S. If so, it should have had sealed beam headlights, amber front lights and possibly even side lights. As non of those features are present, it's likely either imported or heavily rebuilt. And if the latter happened it will be very difficult to identify. Are there any other pictures available? Like of the interior, the rear, the engine or anything else? Or is it that Canadian legislation differ greatly from the U.S.? -- Last edit: 2022-08-03 12:58:02 |

Agree with zodiac, a rear view would be helpful even if there is no type badge. To see if there is just on single exhaust pipe of a 220 SE for e.g. Once again, an unambiguous determination is only possible if the owner or another reliable source would contact us! |

Canadian models were identical to USA models, so this may be a import ![]() |
