Initially for the black & white (white roof) 4-door sedan >> however if anything else is of particular interest, make it known.

I can live with that. Have you ever read "90 Years of Ford," by George H. Dammann? That book mentioned that a lot of people didn't like the designs for the 1958 Fords, but were pleased with the 1959's, even going so far as to say that the '59 Fords are what the '58's should've looked like. If you ask me, the '58 Mercury's would've been a lot more pleasing to those people.

It's a 1959. Take a closer look at the grille.

I think Firebird86 got the right car (but the year model must be off somewhat) In the link the contoured concave stops
on the rear set of doors in front of the door handles – while the contoured concave on the car in capture stops on the
front set of doors in front of the door handles.

Yes, just as in 1959.

This yard may not be used that much for as a business enterprise. Most old car yards that exist today are divided into sections by make: GM, Ford, Chrysler/Mopar, and independents. No such arrangement here is visible. Black car to the right of the brown and white Pontiac is a 60 Dodge.

The chassis code for the Mercury can be found at http://www.lovefords.org/tech/production/59.htm
Since I don't have the real-world experience of some of you, I won't commit to a series name personally, but I would be curious to know the elements that would separate this car from a Monterey, such as tutone paint pattern, front fender name badge, and chrome placement.

Indeed this would be a mismatch automotive storage yard. All of these vehicles belong to people who (at some point in time)
stumbled onto the town. The towns people store the victim's (if you would consider them as such) vehicles in this yard.

I think the light blue car with white top on the left in the third visible row gets honorable mention: 56 Plymouth?

Looks like the tail lights for a 1955. Lots of interesting Mopars in this shot.
