Whatever it is, it's wrong on so many levels. |

Could this be a vintage replica? |

No, it's just terribly cobbled by lack of original parts. |

I found it. In Ukraine of all places. http://platesmania.com/ua/nomer6473015 |

According to the link, this is a poorly restored Wanderer W23 (though the grille sports the Audi/Auto Union logo) from Germany, though it's far more likely be one of those neo-classic cars. |

I don't think "restored" is the right word... What's left it is probably a Wanderer indeed. This is one of those wedding cars popular in Russia, Ukraine and the CIS - prewar cars tarted up with supposedly "retro" elements. 1940 Buick built on a 1934 DKW chassis: http://platesmania.com/ua/foto6184566 -- Last edit: 2022-07-06 14:20:36 |

Would've been a better job if they claimed it was a 1942 Packard. |

They actually claim it's a 34 Buick! It was me who said it was a 40. Here's how it looked before: Link to "arenda-auto.dp.ua" |

According to the IMDB some scenes were filmed in Bulgaria, but bringing a background car all the way from Ukraine would still be odd. EDIT: Wikipedia says they filmed in Ukraine in August 2021. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RRR_(film)#Principal_photography -- Last edit: 2022-07-06 14:55:23 |
