From a round based on 1982, and probably included because James May was a panellist. But he flunked it, calling it a 1975 Austin Princess. Source picture was a BL launch photo (March 82)![]() and there are a small batch of other PR Ambassador photos with LOV 75xX, 76xX and 77xX plates lurking online (eg LOV 769X as HLS). VdP due to chrome strips on bumpers and side trim (only the VdP had them at launch) and the silly strip on bonnet edge above grille. Plate info enigmatic, presumably deliberately camouflaged to keep it secret pre-launch We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided UNKNOWN UNKNOWN 1981 Registration number: LOV 772X Body type: 5 Door Hatchback Colour: Unknown Date of first registration: November 1981 Vehicle REG LOV 772X Make AUSTIN MORRIS Model OTHER CARS Colour MAROON Fuel Type PETROL Mfg.
