Baskingshark ◊ 2022-05-12 23:25	@dsl This one has white-wall tyres but from Episode 2 onwards I think they used a different car in Julia as it doesn't have the whitewalls (the pilot was shot quite a while before the rest of the season one episodes). The Mission: Impossible car could be the same as that one.
dsl ◊ 2022-05-12 23:32	^ Maybe indeed. The 1968 Mission: Impossible example was ID'd for year by a US Simca expert in whose footsteps I trust totally, and has a weird US-only mix of front trim. It would be interesting to see any frontal shots from Julia pilot or series episodes, in case the pilot car is earlier.
njsimca ◊ 2022-07-26 02:53	This is 1966 Simca 1000 DeLuxe or 1000 GLS. If it was a 1967, it would have back-up lights next to the license plate. It it was a 1968, it would have MANY differences, such as back-up lights in a special panel that also holds the license plate, plus there would be two little bumper overrider bars extending from each bumper guard out to the sides and slightly around the corners of the bumper.
