1961-67. Why did Jon identify this as a "late-model Chevy van?"![]() -- Last edit: 2011-10-30 21:44:28 |

Yeah very weird. How could they make such a mistake. It also happened to the ford thunderbird and the plymouth roadrunner. They hired or bought the cars, so they know the type (well, you expect) Maybe the producers had a chevy van in their mind for this scene, but couldn't get one so they chose a sixties ford econoline, and they forgot to change the script. |

1961-1964. 1965-1967 have the license plate on the left rear door. Edit: 1963-1964 as it has amber turn signals. -- Last edit: 2019-04-30 06:45:06 |

License plate on 3.03 comes back as a '70 Econoline 200. |

You know, I can see that. But there are times when actors can (and should) improvise. FYI, the clips from this episode are on the Car Chase Wonderland YouTube channel, and people there are joking about the idea of the tiny engine from a first generation Ford Econoline beating a massive 455 Olds. |

This is one of my favorite chips vehicles. Apparently this van was used in several episodes. The Valley Go Home 3:03 and Thrill Show 3:22. It sounds like this van might have had a V-8 transplant. The factory sixes I'd imagine were a dog. I'm only speculating maybe a Ford 289/302 conversion. When in the Thrill Show episode when the bus bandits take off from an empty parking lot, sounds like the van has some get up and go. Even more so in the Valley Go Home with its custom paint job. |
