With this bonnet and since it seems to have the crescent-shaped grilles near the rear side windows, I would say it's a 1971 1300 or 1302 - the front end it's not visible. |

Hmm, not a 1303? The back lamps are looking for me like the "elephant-foot" ones. The 1300 and 1302 had the smaller ones. |

As I said, only the 1300 and the 1302 used this engine lid; the 1303 never had it. The 1303 kept the 26-vent one that was introduced for the 1972MY. As the other car's headlights confirm, this pic has lighting problems. |

But the back lights are really looking like the big ones - we should't forget the possibility, that within the ca.35 years since car was made, perhaps some parts could have been changed with not original ones. At a VW Typ 1 this is very easy. -- Last edit: 2008-08-08 13:12:02 |
