Even though you can't see the flutes on top of the radiator I am sure this is a Daimler from the mid-1920s. |

daimler 16/55 1926-1933 Link to "uk.four.ebid.net" though not an open car, but http://www.motorbase.com/vehicle/by-id/-1038995043/ left bottom in the picture, the 16/55 was the smallest car offered by Daimler, according to a 1925 Daimler advertisement Link to "nl.four.ebid.net" http://www.genevieve-vintage-wedding-cars.com/Daimler/Daimler_hire.asp this car seem close enough, other than the side mounted spare tire, which did not appear in the first link -- Last edit: 2008-03-17 03:47:50 |

Not a Daimler, because it has the steering wheel at the left side and it hasn't got any flutes on top of the radiator. I watched this movie on telvision tonight and thougt that it was some lesser known French 20s marque. Alternatively it was especially made for this movie, the left hand steering made me think of that. -- Last edit: 2009-11-06 21:09:17 |

Much too small and cheaply made for a Daimler! It seems to have disc wheels, typical of French and some German cars. There are no front wheel brakes, so it is probably pre- 1924/5.A daimler of that date would not have polished sides to its radiator, either. |
