Silver Cloud I?? |

Likely - looks like spiders-eye headlights, and SC2 would be tight squeeze for a 1960 film. |

No - I've changed my mind - headlights are too low against the wing top or the tall radiator. Unless it's a special body, I think we're in Silver Dawn or Wraith territory. |

Of course you are, but not enough of the thing is on view to promote it from wild guess territory. |

I had hoped that a more comprehensive view might be made available, to facilitate a guess free identification of this car. Originally it seemed to me that the purpose of the database was to provide identification of cars used in films, but since we now have 1831 pages of unidentifiable vehicles i.e. 3.49%, it seems to be failing in its objective. Or is there a hidden agenda? -- Last edit: 2021-12-02 10:00:18 |

Looking at the Youtube video the sideways scanning shot looks somewhat like this, /vehicle_143321-Rolls-Royce-Silver-Wraith-LWB-1960.html particularly the third window shape... ![]() Other than that I'm not qualified to express any opinion. |

A very rough attempt at a joined-up series of images...![]() |

Thanks for this, Sunbar. I think we can eliminate a Silver Dawn, and also that we can say that it isn’t long wheelbase. The middle window of a LWB looks decidedly oblong, this doesn’t. I’ll get into my books. |

The rear glass is actually oblong, as shown in full from a single frame when traced here... I get the impression it would be LWB? ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2021-12-02 14:46:54 |

Yes it would, this is a perfect illustration of the pooh traps inherent in trying to identify these cars from scant information. Thanks. |

In which case we may have Park Ward Touring Saloon to design 550, or design 702; or, if there is a division, 703, although I am not totally happy still. One of the ways to tell them apart is the shape of the bumpers(!). |

It has a glass division but no chance of seeing a bumper I think. |
