This 2CV is used frequently in this series. It´s repainted after its first appearence in Ep 3 when it´s been in a police chase.

DAF555, is Weekend an official name in Sweden? ...and do you think the open roof is an original Citroen transformation?... I doubt :)

About the roof I don´t know, I´ll have to check that.
But I did check in my brouchures, and I found one in french printed 1956 with the 2CV models and it´s there AZUL WEEK-END.

It seems that all models had a name besides the AZxx designation. AZ = 425, AZL = Luxe, AZC = Commerciale, AZUL = Week-End, AZU = Fourgonnette.

The name Weekend continued on the Break model of the Mi6, they were not marketed as Ami6 here. Ami came with the Ami8.

Ok, i didn't heard of this AZUL Week-end... I'll add that the first issue of 2CV was the A= 375cm3, 9hp from 1948 to 1955.
Funny the designation Mi6 :)

To what I know the Citroën 2CV AZUL Week-End is a model which was designed and only (?) made in Forest near Brussles, Belgium (origin!). It was made to boost sales on the Belgium and Dutch market and was later exported to other countries, too. It is based on the AZU with added luxury: therefore the 'L'. Also available was a rear bench seat which made the Week-End the first multi-purpose 2CV and the grandfather of today's Berlingo & Co.

It was first produced in 1955. Unless someone knows about this specific vehicle we should use that as the date.

Does Avställd mean unregistered, like when the car is taken to the scrapyard?

Avställd means unlicensed, it´s been off road since 1978. But you pay an annual fee too keep the car in the registry. This car is still in existance.
If it would have been junked, it would have read Avregistrerad instead of Avställd. In such a case the licensenumber is searchable for at least three years with the old vehicles info, sometimes longer, after that the licensenumber might be recycled.
